The Eppendorf Centrifuge 5430 is a compact, high-speed multipurpose benchtop centrifuge that handles everything from microcentrifuge tubes to 50 mL conical tubes and microplates in a small footprint. This 2022 unit comes configured with the Eppendorf A-2-MTP swing-bucket microplate rotor and windshield lid, ready for plate-based workflows such as PCR plate spin-downs, cell-culture plates and ELISA/assay plates.

Versatile High-Speed Performance

Reaches up to 17,500 rpm (30,130 x g) with high-speed rotors, and accepts 8 interchangeable rotors for tubes from 0.2 mL to 50 mL, plus microplates, so a single instrument can cover a wide range of lab applications.

A-2-MTP Swing-Bucket Microplate Rotor Included

The included A-2-MTP rotor holds two microplate carriers and runs at up to 4,680 rpm (2,204 x g). It accommodates standard microplates and PCR plates up to 29 mm loading height, with a windshield lid for quiet, aerodynamic operation.

Easy, Reproducible Operation

Five direct-access program keys and storage for up to 50 programs, a short-spin key, adjustable soft acceleration/braking ramps, and an “at set rpm” timer function make routine runs fast and repeatable.

Built-In Safety

Automatic rotor detection and imbalance detection protect samples and the instrument. Acceleration and braking from maximum speed take less than 25 seconds, and the unit runs at under 67 dB(A).
