Principle of Operation
Most mixing processes rely on convection, shear and diffusion — but for nano-level composition, much stronger impact, compression and attrition forces are required to overcome inter-particle cohesion. The Nobilta integrates all these mechanisms in a single unit, enabling simultaneous mixing, composing, surface treatment and spheronisation.
Inside the horizontal cylindrical chamber, a high-speed rotor (up to 30 m/s) subjects particles to intense mechanical impact and compression. The rotor geometry ensures uniform stress distribution, so that every particle undergoes the same degree of processing. The jacketed vessel allows precise temperature control during high-energy operation, preventing agglomeration, overheating or degradation of sensitive materials. This unique process achieves:
- Composing – Nano-scale particles are permanently fused onto the surface of micron-sized particles, forming composites that enhance flowability, heat resistance, reactivity and solubility.
- Precision Mixing (Dispersion) – Combines distributive and dispersive mixing to improve colour uniformity, tone, calcination performance and mechanical strength.
- Shape Enhancement (Spheronisation) – Refines particle shape and reduces BET surface area for improved flow and packing density.
